Venue Hire Policy

Booking & Deposits

All venue bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit.

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking date.

  • The remaining balance must be paid prior to the event date, as specified in the Venue Hire Agreement.

  • Dates are held on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed until the deposit is received.

Cancellations by Client

Cancellations must be made in writing.

  • More than 30 days before the event: deposit retained.

  • 7–30 days before the event: 75% of total hire fee payable.

  • Less than 7 days before the event: full hire fee payable.

These terms may be varied only by written agreement.

Use of Space

Clients agree to:

  • Use the space only for the purpose stated in the booking agreement.

  • Not sub-let or transfer the booking without written consent.

  • Comply with all health, safety, and fire regulations.

No structural alterations, drilling, or permanent installations are permitted without prior approval.

All décor, staging, and installations must be removed at the end of the hire period.

Damage & Liability

The client is responsible for:

  • Any damage to the venue, fixtures, or equipment during the hire period.

  • The conduct of their guests, suppliers, and contractors.

Shifteye Studios reserves the right to recover the cost of repairs, cleaning, or replacement resulting from misuse or negligence.

The venue accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to client property.

Overtime

Hire periods must be adhered to strictly.

Overtime is charged at the agreed hourly rate and must be approved in advance where possible.
