Shifteye Ltd is a Nairobi-based multi-disciplinary production house specialising in photography, videography, and event curation. We are currently launching an ambitious new service line: a Residency Program dedicated to supporting Impact Producers, Event Curators, and Content Creators. This program serves as a creative engine to facilitate cross-border collaborations and multicultural productions across the continent.

The Role

We are seeking a Creative Operations Lead to provide the operational backbone for this new residency initiative and to lead our expansion into new markets. Working closely with the Director, you will be responsible for new market expansion, the design and roll-out of our resident program and the execution of multimedia production projects in partnership with agencies across the EU, Central, West Africa. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels at navigating the logistics of creative production while managing diverse stakeholder relationships across different African markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Assist in identifying and pursuing fundraising and partnership opportunities to scale the residency program and its service offerings.

  • Account Management: Client relationship management with brand managers and Senior Executives in Francophone Africa and Europe, overseeing quality execution. 30-40% travel expected.

  • Program Coordination: Support the Director in the design and roll-out of the Shifteye Residency Program, managing the logistics for incoming impact producers, curators, and creators.

  • Multicultural Relationship Management: Act as a key liaison for international partners and clients, navigating cross-border nuances and ensuring smooth communication across diverse cultural and professional contexts.

  • Production Operations: Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of audiovisual and event-based projects, ensuring that the creative output of the residency program meets Shifteye’s commercial standards.

  • Team Mentorship: Work as a hands-on mentor to junior marketing and production assistants, facilitating the transfer of specialised skills in impact production and creative project management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional Background: 10+ years of foundational experience in Business Development, Fundraising, or Partnership Management.

  • Creative Execution: At least 4 years of experience in a creative coordination or production role (e.g., Creative Producer, Account Manager, or Impact Producer).

  • Cross-Border Expertise: Proven ability to manage multicultural professional relationships and navigate the operational challenges of working across different African regions.

  • Operational Skills: Strong project management background with experience in managing creative budgets and production timelines.

  • Linguistic Skills: * Mandatory: Fluency in written and spoken English.

    • Preferred: A strong working knowledge of French is highly desirable to facilitate our expansion into Francophone markets.
