WHAT IS IT?

The Shifteye Social unofficially began in 2013, shortly after the opening of the venue, as a small gathering of friends in the Studio (formerly Shifteye Gallery), with a few drinks and an iPhone with a speaker as a source of music.  As time went by, the gathering grew and the sound system with it. Once we saw that we had a legitimate event, full of potential, on our hands we decided to name it and promote it, and thus "Friday Nights Unplugged" was created.

Fast forward to 2016 when rebranded from Shifteye Gallery to the Shifteye Studios, we felt it was time for Friday Nights Unplugged to also get a little nip tuck. This gave birth to the infamous SHIFTYE SOCIAL, a monthly social gathering of like-minded, taste-making, thrill-seeking and fun-loving people at The SHIFTEYE STUDIOS. 

At the Shifteye Social, we collaborated closely with LIQORS MOBILE BAR, who kept the cold drinks flowing through the night and NOISE ON DEMAND, Kenya's Number DJ Trio, that kept our guests cutting a rug to the morning hours.

A place where fellow creatives and hard-working Nairobians could let their hair down, mingle, let loose and come together in a well-curated, lively & stimulating party environment.

At the Social, we have had the incredible honour of hosting both DJ's from both Kenya around the world, such as UK DJ & Producer FORSAKEN from LIFTED ICONS, US-based BIG BEAR, Kenya's Afro House Music Pioneers JACK ROOSTER & B-TOWN, Tribal House Music Queen DJ VIDZA & many many more.
